For every project we’re appointed on, we believe it’s important for us to understand how design and business align. In doing so we are able to measure the impact of our efforts. As part of the project scope we provided The Sauce with the following services and agreed on a number of key deliverables within our scope of work.
Brand Strategy | Restaurant Interior Design | Bar Interior Design
The Sauce brand started out as a little grab and go style site in Highbury and is rapidly growing into the epic food brand everyone is talking about, and the number one place to kick back and get into some seriously good food
Working closely with Mega and Prebs it was important that we captured the heart and soul that went into that first site but reflected this in a more refined concept for their biggest restaurant yet. The restaurant needed to ‘ooze’ The Sauce vibe and elevate the brands presence as an up and coming dine-in restaurant. There were a number of considerations with the space that went into our design thinking. The first key design consideration was the bar.
They wanted to incorporate an inviting social space where guests could come and have a drink and wait for a table; however, they also wanted to offer a limited amount of bar seating where guests could grab a quick bite to eat also.
We introduced to the space some more intimate areas which would cater larger groups with some nice booth seating and where possible looked to find ways to communicate the brand story throughout the space. This was achieved with the selected colour palette, material choices, brand messaging and way-finding

Over the years it became clear to us that businesses struggle to consistently communicate their brand across every customer touchpoint. When the opportunity arose for us to be involved with a complete brand transformation which included the interior design of a commercial space it made us stop and totally rethink and re-imagine the future of Grey Coffee.
The project made us review the impact of brand design and Commercial Interior Design on the overall customer experience. It became really clear to us that the two are intrinsically connected.
Fast forward to today Grey Coffee is widely recognised as a hospitality agency that has successfully delivered a wide range of projects including; bar interior design, cafe interior design, coffee shop interior design, restaurant interior design and restaurant branding.
